[Car Drivers] Local Discoveries Glumslöv

Join us for a picnic and picturesque walk through the Glumslövs slopes and a visit to coastal fishing village called Ålabodarna to enjoy stunning view of the sea and island of Ven.

In this Local Discovery, we will take you to the town called Glumslöv situated in Landskrona Municipality in Skåne 42 km from Lund. There is a nature trail along the coastline through forest, but you always have view of the sea.

We will leave the cars at the parking lot of the Glumslöv and then walk to Ålabodarna - Sundvik - Rustningshamn - The slopes of Glumslöv - Back to Glumslöv.

Altogether, the walk will be tentatively around 14 km. It is not suitable for strollers, and involves a few spots of steep slopes.

9:30, Meet at Eoshallen, have a cup of coffee and socialize before departure

ca 11:00, Arrival at Glumslöv

ca 13:00 Lunch

ca 16.00, Return to starting point

17.00, Back in Lund

THINGS-TO-BRING:

- Raincoat and a thin jacket as Swedish weather is quite unpredictable.

- A good hiking shoes and face towel.

- Blanket to sit on

- Lunch and bottle of water or any non-alcoholic drink (In case of warm weather, we request you to bring water for the safety and well-being of all of us).

- If needed (for allergies etc), medicine and emergency kit, which you think can be good to bring with you.

REGISTRATION:

The excursion is solely based on Car Sharing - drivers will register themselves to bring their own cars, and then empty seats will be filled by participants registered as passengers.

If all the passenger seats are taken, you will be asked to sign up on a waiting list. In that case you will be informed by e-mail as soon as we have been able to recruit more car drivers.

COST: A participation fee of 50 SEK will be collected from everyone registering as passengers. This will be given to the car drivers, to cover for the gas and vehicle expenses.

WEATHER DISCLAIMER: In case of a bad weather forecast, a cancellation e-mail will be sent out to everyone registered, at 19:00 of the evening before!

WAIVER: Participants are responsible for their own safety as well as private belongings.
