Time & Location

Jul 21, 2018, 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Meet at Eoshallen, Arkivgatan 32, 223 59 Lund, Sweden

About the event

When describing a great beach, qualities that usually come to mind would be:

- A vast extension of sand

- Warm water

- Not crowded with people

- Shallowness that enables you to play in the water

- Beautiful nature surrounding

- Not too far away

The lake of Vomb (Vombsjön) - one of Skånes great lakes - is the only beach in the region that checks all the boxes! It comes with an extended beach with nice sand and warm shallow water (yes, in Sweden lakes are warmer than the sea!), a beautiful forest to stroll around in, the typical meadows and fields of the region, an old castle, and all this within walking distance of where we park the cars and alltogether not more than 30 minutes from Eoshallen.

Join this trip, and collect a lovely summer experience!

The programme is as follows:

9.30, Meet at Eoshallen. Introductions and checking in so that everyone registered is on board.

10.30 or possibly earlier, Arrival at Vombsjön. Free activities where swimming, beach games and forest walks are encouraged.

Bring your picnic lunch!

13.45, Reassembly for departure back to Eoshallen.

14.30, Home.

The excursion is based on Car Sharing - drivers are registering to bring their own cars, and the empty seats are filled by participants registering as passengers.

COST: A participation fee of 40 SEK will be collected from everyone registering as passengers. This will be given to the car drivers, to cover for the gas and vehicle expenses.

WEATHER DISCLAIMER: In case of a bad weather forecast, a cancellation e-mail will be sent out to everyone registered, at 19:00 of the evening before!
