STEP 1
ENTER EOSHALLEN
Eos Cares is hosting a wide range of social activities within several areas. Everything is free to try out, and more often than not also free to participate in regularly. Read more about what we offer, or check out the calendar for our next events!
STEP 2
JOIN OUR COMMUNITY
Participate in more of our activities, and use Eos Cares as an arena for your social connection. Also, read about opportunities to take on responsibility through working or volunteering.
STEP 3
JOIN OUR BALLCLUB
IK Eos, founded in 1949, is a powerhouse within Swedish Basketball. Become involved in the core activities of the club, as a basketball player, a supporter, a staff member or a volunteer within the basketball section.
See IK Eos official website.
Ambassador

-
Commitment scalable to your own conditions
-
Requirement: Have an organisation/group to collaborate with
Being an Ambassador is a great way to get involved with Eos Cares, as you will work to connect our activities and services with an organisation or group that you are already a part of. In this way, you are completely in charge of your commitment and can integrate this into your professional occupation and/or other interests.
Read more about the role here!
Lundaspelen Volunteer

-
1-5 January, 2019
Join about 500 other volunteers in making one of Europe's largest basketball tournaments happen!
Read more and sign up for volunteering through this link.
Swedish Speaker/Swedish Facilitator

-
Eos Language Café, Saturdays 13-15
-
Requirement of participation: Every second week (on average)
-
Other requirement: Native/Fluency in Swedish
The opportunity to practice speaking Swedish is probably the most highly demanded activity that Eos Cares is able to offer. This is provided through the help of native of fluent Swedish speakers that are participating at our language cafés. As a Swedish Facilitator, you will be paired with another volunteer to be in charge of a table for swedish conversation, and will meet with people from all over the world that are eager to put their swedish skills to use. To assist, we have a conversational game with 52 questions, that provides topics to talk about and ensures that the word is shared around the table.
Note: Same role is also available for our language café on Wednesdays at 10-12!
Basketball Game Host

-
Usually on Saturdays, 12-17
-
Requirement of participation: Once/month
To set up the national level basketball games with the Eos Men's and Women's A Teams, we have a team of Game Hosts that work with all the arrangements around the game: facilities, entrance tickets, VIP fika etc. For every game, 3-4 Game Hosts from the team are activated and work together to deliver the game. Being part of this team is a great way of getting to know some of the core members of the Eos Basketball Club, as most of the team members are parents of players who have been dedicated to the club since many years.
Read more about the role here.
Language Facilitator in French, German or Italian

-
Eos Language Café, Saturdays 13-15
-
Requirement of participation: Every second week (on average)
-
Other requirement: Native/Fluency in any of the languages mentioned
As an International Language Facilitator, you will be paired with another volunteer with the same language background to be in charge of a table for conversation in your language. You will meet with people that for language development or social reasons want to sit down and speak your language on a weekly or regular basis. You will also be able to design and translate our conversational game into your language!
Designated Driver

-
at Local Discoveries excursions
-
Requirement of participation: Once/month (on average)
-
Other requirement: Have access to a car
The Local Discoveries activity within our Nature & Culture area is about bringing people out to places around Lund that they otherwise never might have heard about. As a Designated Driver, you will be a speaking partner to our Local Discoveries Managers in scheduling the excursions, and for the trips you will fill your car with other participants registered as passengers.
Video Coordinator

-
1-4 hours/week
In order to spread the Eos Cares message, we continuously look to create good video material. As a Video Coordinator, you will work with both filming and editing, and your productions will be used for website, facebook and instagram campaigns aiming to draw attention to various aspects of the programme.
