GRÖNA ORKESTERN

"THE GREEN ORCHESTRA"

IK Eos pool of volunteers

ny logga.png

The IK Eos Basketball Club is largely relying on a lot of people contributing on a voluntary basis to deliver the club's activities. In order to connect and coordinate this amazing network, we have created Eos Gröna Orkester - The Green Orchestra.

The purpose of The Green Orchestra is to:

- Coordinate and staff all voluntary efforts within the IK Eos Basketball Club

- Build a community among the participating volunteers and supporters

- Allow for people looking for work experience to improve network and CV through engaging as a volunteer in a large sports organisation

The group is drawing participants from:

- Parents of youth basketball players who want to contribute to the club's activities

- Adult basketball players who volunteer as part of the membership commitment

- Visitors to Eos Cares activities

- Other supporters and collaborators

Read below about the various volunteering tasks that the Green Orchestra is managing.

Also, join our facebook group "Eos Gröna Orkestern", this is where upcoming volunteering opportunities are announced.

INTEGRATION EVENTS

A few times per semester, Eos Cares arranges large integration events such as the Summer/Winter Party, the International Potluck and the Welcome Event for new students. These are often held in collaboration with other NGO's, and bring hundreds of people to Eoshallen. A large number of volunteers are engaged in tasks such as cooking and baking, preparing and restoring facilities, decorations and taking care of kids.

CAFETERIA

The Eoshallen cafeteria is open during all events that bring large crowds of people. Volunteering in the cafeteria is a good way to meet and interact with the variety of people that visit our gym.
