Basketball is the world’s second largest sport, and at Eos Cares we aim to receive everyone in Lund who wants to play and/or get involved with the club. Here we will describe The Eos Cares Basketball Teams, our basketball program for male & female players aged 18+, with no, limited or extensive basketball experience.
WHO IS WELCOME?
Everyone that wants to play basketball is welcome! When necessary, we split up into groups of more or less experienced players.
WHEN AND WHERE IS PRACTICE?
BEGINNER'S TEAM:
Wednesdays, 19.45-21.00
PLAYERS WITH PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
Wednesdays, 21.00-22.30
Sundays, 20.00-21.30
Both in Eoshallen, Arkivgatan 32 in Lund.
HOW DO YOU SIGN UP?
Just show up at practice and introduce yourself to the coach/team responsible. Enter your e-mail adress through a form that you will be provided.
You will receive an e-mail with a link to the registration and membership payment.
Pay membership fee of your chosen category. (More info here below.)
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BE A MEMBER?
There are three levels of the membership fee, depending on your involvement with the Eos basketball club. The membership is valid throughout the 2019-20 season, that is from August 2019 to May 2020. If you join the team after the 1st of January 2020, you pay half the membership fee.
- BASKETBALL ONLY – NO OTHER COMMITMENTS:
Eoshallen Team: 1200 SEK (600 SEK per semester)
Svaneskolan Team: 800 SEK (400 SEK per semester)
- MEMBERSHIP WITH VOLUNTEERING AT LEAST 4 TIMES PER SEMESTER:
Eoshallen Team: 600 SEK
Svaneskolan Team: 400 SEK
We encourage all members to become more involved with the club, and offer a reduced membership fee for everyone who wants to join our efforts as a volunteer. To volunteer with Eos, go to www.eoscares.se/join and follow instructions for how to sign up. Note: You will not be automatically scheduled for volunteering assignments – you will have to sign up actively for assignments that we announce.
If you have less than 4 volunteering sessions registered by the end of the Fall semester, you will be moved to the “BASKETBALL ONLY” category and be asked to complete the membership fee for the Spring semester. Volunteering sessions not completed during the Fall cannot be made up for during the Spring.
- MEMBERSHIP AS A MANAGER WITHIN EOS: 0 SEK (FREE)
If you are involved as a Manager within Eos, we offer you the membership for free. To become a Manager, read about the roles announced on www.eoscares.se/join and submit your application. The managers are unpaid, but we offer a great community of people to befriend and a work experience that will boost your CV.
HOW DO YOU PAY?
Payment is done by card, through the instructions you receive in the e-mail. If necessary, payment can also be done by CASH directly at practice to the team responsible, or by SWISH to number 123 385 01 38.
CAN YOU ALSO PLAY ON OTHER TEAMS WITHIN EOS?
