During the summer of 2018, Eos Cares ran for four weeks the event “Bollkul & International Playgroup”, in collaboration with the Lov i Lund project of Lunds kommun. We had a whole lot of fun, and in total the activity drew 571 participants.
As the construction works in Eoshallen are now finished, we are re-starting the activities in original forms! This will continue every week throughout the 2018-19 season.
The International Playgroup, targeting parents with kids not yet in kindergarten, takes place every Tuesday at 10.00-12.00 and is already started up since two weeks. Participation is free and no registration necessary, just show up at any time during the morning, have a cup of coffee and join the play!
Bollkul, targeting parents with kids 18 months up to 5 years, is held every Sunday at 9.00-10.00. Compared to the open play during the summer events, we are adding a few elements:
- At around 9.15 there will be a short gathering and introduction of the participants.
- We will set up a circuit of obstacles that allows for the kids to move around the whole gym and try out some gymnastical challenges together with a small basketball.
- At around 9.50, we will run a “mat race”, and when the kids are sprinting across the court, parents are asked to help out removing all the equipment.
- After finishing the play, families can use the Eoshallen cafeteria for the morning meal.
No pre-registration is necessary for Bollkul, just show up! Since the activity is occupying the basketball court, participation will require a membership fee of 400 SEK per kid, for the entire season. To become a member, go to the Eos registration page, select team ”Bollkul med föräldrar” and fill in personal your info.
