In collaboration with Lunds kommun, Kompis Sverige, Tamam, Kompassen and The Right Move Dance, the 2018 Winter Party brought an estimated 250 participants to Eoshallen.
The Eoshallen A court was set up for dinner, entertainment, dancing and games, and the B court was a free play zone for kids of all ages. Kompis Sverige warmed up the crowed with a round of speed-friending, before Lunds kommun took on the podium to hand out the yearly Integration Award for which the Kompassen project was much deservedly selected. Then the dinner buffet was attacked head-on and after that followed several rounds of entertainment and dance.
Performers were Alan with a Diavolo show, and our dancing companion Right Move Dance, from which we first received a polynesian dance show and then a Haka performance with participants that practiced and learned the dance in just 30 minutes. However, the most lively dancing came spontaneously as the floor was left available for everyone to get up and move!
In terms of amount of visitors, the Winter Party became the biggest integration event in Eoshallen since the fall of 2016 when Lund NGO's started collaborating on integration fairs and festivities. Many thanks to the participating organisations, showing that great things happen when we work together. Thanks also to Lunds kommun for supporting the event, hosting the award ceremony and helped out filling the gym through the Barn i Start network. Last but not least, thanks to all the volunteers, only through your efforts we are able to do these things!
