*English below* - Eos Cares är basketklubben IK Eos integrations-/sociala hållbarhetsprogram, som både erbjuder en mängd gratis aktiviteter för Lunds invånare och samarbetar med kommun, fastighetsbolag och andra föreningar och organisationer för att skapa ett mer inkluderande lokalsamhälle. Under förra året deltog fler än 2000 individer i Eos Cares aktiviteter och organisationen mottog utmärkelser för sitt arbete, från såväl kommun, som idrottsaktörer.
Exempel på de aktiviteter som Eos Cares erbjuder är: språkcaféer, utflykter, yoga, hemspråksundervisning på arabiska, mentorsprogram, seminarier och aktiviteter för småbarn och deras föräldrar. Ett 30-tal volontärer är i nuläget verksamma inom dessa aktiviteter.
Eos Cares tar kontinuerligt emot praktikanter, som vill lära av och på samma gång bidra till organisationens arbete. Under hösten 2020 kommer praktikanternas uppgifter främst att fokusera på Eos Cares olika språkaktiviteter (spåkcaféer och mindre språkutbytesgrupper), samt på programmet Welcome to Lund, som består av både mentorsträffar, studiebesök, seminarier och andra sociala aktiviteter för personer som är nya i Sverige och Lund. Vi tar också emot praktikanter som är intresserade av och kunniga inom kommunikation. Exempel på uppgifter som i nuläget kan ingå i en praktik på Eos Cares är följande:
att ha övergripande ansvar för något av Eos Cares språkcaféer;
att arbeta med praktiska uppgifter före under och efter Eos Cares språkcaféer;
att rekrytera nya volontärer;
att planera och/eller genomföra aktiviteter inom programmet Welcome to Lund;
att administrera anmälningar (m.m.) till olika aktiviteter;
att planera/organisera seminarier, samt
att arbeta med att ta fram och sprida information om Eos Cares olika aktiviteter;
Som praktikant på Eos Cares behöver du kunna arbeta självständigt och ta egna initiativ. Du behöver även tycka att det är roligt att arbeta med människor, vara bra på att samarbeta samt vara lyhörd för volontärernas och aktivitetsdeltagarnas behov. Du kommer att få handledning under regelbundna träffar med Eos Cares programledning. Beroende på vilka uppgifter du får, samt din praktiks omfattning, så kan en praktik hos oss, utöver allmän arbetslivserfarenhet, ge dig erfarenheter av projektledning, arbetsledning, administration och kommunikation, samt kunskaper om ideell sektor och integrationsarbete. Du kommer också att skapa många nya personliga kontakter genom din praktik hos Eos Cares.
Arbete under kvällar och helger kommer att förekomma. Praktiktjänsten är obetald och löper under minst 10 veckor, men gärna längre.
Tidsomfattningen per vecka är flexibel, från 12h och upp till heltidsarbete, och kan skilja sig åt från vecka till vecka beroende på uppgifter.

Eos Cares is an integration/social sustainability program within the basketball club IK Eos in Lund. Eos Cares offers the population of Lund a range of social activities, free of charge. The program also collaborates with the Municipality, and with other organizations and associations, in order to create a higher degree of social inclusion for all societal groups in the local community. Last year more than 2000 individuals visited the activities of Eos Cares, and the organization received several awards for its achievements.
The activities of Eos Cares are diverse and comprise, among others: Language cafés, excursions, yoga, mother tongue classes for children, mentor programs, learning seminars and activities for toddlers and their parents. Some 30 volunteers are active within these activities.
Eos Cares continously accepts interns, who want to learn from and contribute to the work of the organization. During the fall of 2020 the tasks of the interns will mainly focus on the different language learning activities of Eos Cares (language cafés and smaller langage exchange groups) and on the programme 'Welcome to Lund', which entails mentor sessions, study visits, seminars and other social activities for people who are new in Sweden/Lund. We also take on interns who are interested and skilled in communication. The following are examples of tasks that may currently be part of an internship at Eos Cares are:
managing one or several of Eos Cares' Language Cafés;
handling practical tasks before, during or after Eos Cares' language cafés;
recruiting new volunteers;
planning and/or carrying out events within the 'Welcome to Lund' programme;
administering registrations for different activities;
organizing seminars, and
creating and spreading information about Eos Cares' activities.
Our interns need to be able to work independently. Furthermore, they enjoyworking with people, are cooperative and open to the needs of volunteers and activity participants. The interns meet regularly with the program management to discuss work progress and to receive guidance and instructions. Depending on the both selection of tasks and internship scope, the intern will leave the internship having gained over all work experience, expreience of project management, leadership, and knowlege about the NGO sector and integration work. The intern will also establish new relations during the internship.
This internship is unpaid. Its duration should be 10 weeks as a minimum, but preferably longer.
The amount of working hours per week is set individually in agreement with the program management, and can fall within the range of 12 hours to full time. It may vary substantially from week to week depending on the tasks at hand. Due to the nature of leisure-time activities, work hours on evenings and/or weekends are inevitable.
